Claude Fable 5 doesn't replace Claude Opus 4.8 — both remain available side by side, so you can pick Opus 4.8 for everyday advanced work and Fable 5 when a task calls for maximum capability.

How to Use Claude Fable 5

1. Create a new conversation or open an existing one
2. Click the model selector
3. Choose Claude Fable 5 from the Anthropic section
4. Click Set as default to use it for future conversations
