Document Viewer, Edit Tool, and NGSS Knowledge Base

This release brings a major upgrade to how you work with documents in TeamTeacher, plus a new knowledge base for science educators.

Document Viewer Sidebar

You can now view and edit documents directly alongside your conversation without leaving the chat. Click the new Documents button in the conversation header to open the sidebar.

  • Edit and Preview modes — Toggle between editing your document and previewing the formatted result
  • Auto-saving — Changes save automatically as you work
  • Resizable panel — Drag to adjust the sidebar width to your preference
  • Real-time streaming — Watch as your AI agent creates or edits documents live in the sidebar
  • Google Drive import — Import files from Google Drive directly into the sidebar
  • Remembers your place — The sidebar remembers your last-viewed document per conversation

Edit Document Tool

Your AI agent can now edit existing documents with targeted operations instead of rewriting the entire thing:

  • Replace by heading — Update a specific section of your document by heading name
  • Find and replace — Search for text and replace it throughout the document
  • Append content — Add new content to the end of a document
  • Full replacement — Replace the entire document content when needed

Changes appear in real-time in the Document Viewer sidebar, so you can watch edits happen as they stream in.

Document Preview Dialog

When your AI agent saves or edits a document, the result now shows as a clickable card with a rich preview. Click the card to see a full preview of the document content, including:

  • Diff view for find-and-replace operations so you can see exactly what changed
  • Focused view for section edits highlighting the updated portion

NGSS Knowledge Base

We've added the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) knowledge base for science educators. Search across:

  • Performance Expectations — What students should know and be able to do
  • Disciplinary Core Ideas — Key concepts organized by domain
  • Science & Engineering Practices — The skills students develop
  • Crosscutting Concepts — Themes that bridge disciplines

Covers all K-12 grade levels and supports exact standard code lookups (e.g., "MS-LS1-1"). Start a conversation with an agent that has the NGSS knowledge base enabled to try it out.

Improvements

  • Library Pages SEO — Agents, Models, and Tools directory pages now include Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags for better social sharing
  • Google Drive Import — Fixed an issue where closing the Google auth consent popup could leave the import button stuck in a loading state
  • Chat Layout — Improved message width handling to better accommodate the new document viewer sidebar
  • Conversation Header — Added a Documents toggle button with a document count badge

Bug Fixes

  • Conversation Data Refresh — Fixed an issue where conversation data could become stale after an auth token refresh, causing messages to not display correctly until a full page reload
